How it works

1. Sign up below. It takes about 2 minutes. This program is only for small, independent restaurants, so Software Switch First reviews and approves each restaurant before customers can see it.
2. Connect Stripe (free). Stripe is the secure card company that sends customer payments straight to your bank. You set it up once, on your phone.
3. Add your menu. Type in your food items and prices. Change them any time.
4. Customers order. Your restaurant gets an Order button in the Software Switch First Food app. Customers pick from your menu and pay by card.
5. You accept the order and make the food. A Software Switch First driver can pick it up and deliver it.

What it costs

• Signing up is free.
• Stripe's card fee: about 2.9% + 30¢ per order (about $1.17 on a $30 order), the same as a card machine in your store. This goes to Stripe.
• Future platform fee: Software Switch First may add a platform fee of $1.75 per order in the future. You will be told in advance, before it ever applies.

Step 1: Get paid

Stripe is free to join. Stripe's normal card fee (about 2.9% + 30¢ per order) is the only cost, the same as a card machine in your store.

What happens when you tap "Connect Stripe":

1. Stripe's secure sign-up page opens on your phone. Stripe is the card company that sends customer payments to your bank.
2. Fill in your business details and the bank account where you want to receive your money. Have your bank account and routing number ready.
3. Stripe may ask to confirm your identity. This is normal and keeps your money safe.
4. When you finish, you come back here and see "✅ Payments connected."

Your Stripe account belongs to you. Customer payments go straight to your bank, and you can see every payment in your own Stripe account. If you stop partway through, just tap the button again to continue where you left off.

Step 2: Your menu

Add each food item with its price and a photo. Customers want to see the food before they order. Tap an item to change it. Turn an item off when you run out, and back on when it's ready again.

Fast way: paste your whole menu

Copy your menu from your website (or type it), one item per line with its price, and paste it here. A line without a price, like "Entrées", becomes the section for the items under it. You'll see everything before it is saved. Then add a photo to each item.

Step 3: Your online order link

Put this link on your website as an "Order Online" button, and on your Facebook page and Google listing. Customers tap it, see your menu, and order for pickup or for delivery by a Software Switch First driver.

Your link takes orders once Stripe is connected and at least one menu item is turned on.

Add it to your website:

1. Open your website editor (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, or another).
2. Add a Button where customers will see it, like the top of your home page and your menu page.
3. Make the button say Order Online.
4. For the button's link, paste your link.
5. Save or publish your website.
